The World Race structures its program to raise up squad leaders on the field. I was selected to become a squad leader for the remainder of the race. A squad leader’s job is to serve the squad and lead them in areas of spiritual and emotional growth, team health, effective ministry and pursuit of God. The World Race functions as a missionary organization that impacts the world through multiple partnerships with ministries across the globe as well as internal discipleship for each participant.

It has been amazing to be discipled by our previous squad leaders, Abigail and Julia. They got to be with us for the first part of the race and disciple the squad and mentor team leaders. I learned so much from them and they were so impactful in my personal growth. They have now left and Jackson and I are the squad leaders for the remainder of the time. We are blessed to work with our amazing mentor Abigail and coaches Tim and Lisa as our leadership team. They operate from the states and we have weekly calls with them to discuss operations and glean wisdom from them. They are all prayer warriors and it has been such a privilege to learn and grow from their guidance.

Operating in this role has been such a blessing and I really feel that the Lord has equipped me for this and in many ways tailored this role for me. I really get to operate in the gift of exhortation as I help to shepherd this phenomenal squad of leaders. Truly this squad is comprised of so many world changers and leaders that it is such an honor and privellege to lead them under the direction of the Lord. So many of my experiences teaching have bore fruit in this role and it has been beautiful to see how the Lord has used the wisdom from teaching in a different way. I have never felt so alligned to my purpose in life as I have on the race. The Lord has given me such a heart for the people on this squad and it has been such a gift to be able to draw out in them, the giftings that the Lord has already deposited.

After a lot of thought and prayer, I have decided to go back out on the field after this trip. I will take about three weeks in the states to see everyone and then go back out for another mission trip as a field mentor. The Lord is still working out the details of this but I am confident that this is the plan for my next step. I have officially resigned from Northridge and I will truly miss the wonderful community that has treated me like family. They have been such a blessing during so many challenging seasons and I learned so much from the exceptional people there.

The basic lodging, travel and meals will be covered as I go back out but I will be fundraising for extra expenses. Some of these include personal care items such as soap, toothpaste, laundry, coffee etc. I also love to be generous when I meet people on the field and buy people on the streets a meal, give begging orphans food/ water, donate to local organizations etc. It is also so nice to be able to buy people on my squad a coffee or sweet treat on a rough day. I will put my link below if you feel called to support financially. I am so appreciative to the amazing community I have back home who have supported me financially, with sweet messages and in prayer. I hope you know how important you are to me and the covering that I feel with your prayer is so beautiful and powerful. We are praying for you all back home, especially my CLC community as you navigate challenges. I love and miss you all and please reach out with a message or to schedule a phone call. I’d love to hear how you all are doing! I will also be back in the states for the first couple of weeks in August so PLEASE reach out so we can catch up! I have so many stories I’d love to share and miss you all dearly!
